Historien bakom Visitoors – ett system för att mäta besök i friluftsområden. Idén till en enkel personräknare för friluftsområden föddes ur ett starkt engagemang för natur, teknik och föreningsliv. Hi, Eric here! I live in the Småland town of Tranås with my wife. There I spend a lot of time orienteering and love being out on the lake. My two children have been away for a few years now and I have realized how much time I have left. I have chosen to dedicate that time to developing a system for people counting in outdoor environments that combines my interest in technology with my love of nature. My vision I have always had a strong commitment to nature and community life. As an active member of the orienteering club in Tranås, I have seen over the years how important our forests and trails are – not only for exercise and recreation, but also for cohesion, health and the development of society. But I have also seen how difficult it can be to show that value with numbers. When we wanted to find out how many people were actually moving around in our areas, it became clear that the solutions that existed were both expensive and complicated. There was a lot of technology, high costs and often too advanced analysis systems. That's where the idea for Visitoors was born. I wanted to create something that was exactly the opposite – a small, agile people counter that could be mounted anywhere, withstand all weather conditions, require minimal maintenance, and at the same time easily deliver the data that decision-makers actually need. With Visitoors, municipalities, county administrative boards and organizations get a smart way to follow up on the use of important outdoor recreation areas, evaluate investments and make better decisions - based on facts. But for me, it's not the technology that's important, my vision is that Visitoors should be reliable and easy to work with without having to be a specialist. We believe in technology that works in the background, but makes a big difference – for both people and nature. Ask Erik for a consultation

Mät besök i friluftsområden och vandringsleder med Visitoors besöksräknare. Robust, energieffektiv och utvecklad för enkel installation utomhus. “Många kommuner gissar. Med Visitoors får ni hårda siffror – från naturen själv.” Insights from nature – for better decisions Robust and energy-efficient visitor counter for outdoor use Visitoor visitor counters are placed in places where you want to measure how many people pass by – for example in nature reserves, hiking trails, parks or outdoor areas. Counting visitors outdoors presents several challenges: weather conditions, varying mounting options and lack of electricity supply. Therefore, Visitoors has been developed with these factors in mind. The device is: Climate-resistant and weather-protected – designed to sit outside all year round in rain, snow and cold (IP67 rated). Easy to assemble – quickly attaches to trees, poles or flat surfaces with the included screws and straps. Self-sufficient – powered by a built-in lithium battery with up to 3 years of battery life. Thanks to a narrow sensor beam and a range of up to 6 meters, the counter can distinguish between people walking closely together, providing high reliability. The meter is connected via NB-IoT, a very low-power mobile technology in Telia's network, which ensures stable communication even in remote locations. Measurement data is automatically sent to a European cloud database every hour. Only the location of the device and the number of people passing by are stored there - no personal data is recorded or saved, making the system completely anonymous and GDPR-safe. Request a quote Ask Erik for a consultation How the system works Automatisk räkning i realtid Besökare registreras automatiskt när de passerar enheten. Alla mätningar summeras per timme och skickas därefter till databasen för vidare analys. Tailored analysis – directly on screen or in report All data is analyzed in specially developed software, designed exclusively for Visitoors. The results are displayed directly on the screen in a clear interface, or exported as ready-made PDF reports. For those who want to do their own analyses, there is also the option to download raw data in CSV format. We help you step by step 1. What are your needs? Start by discussing your needs internally – then feel free to contact us for a free consultation. We help you find the right solution and ensure that the end product truly matches your expectations. 2. Quick and easy installation Installation is simple: mount the device in the location where you want to count visitors, scan the QR code with your mobile phone and connect it to the cloud. No digging, no cables – done in a few minutes. 3. Automatic data collection All data is continuously updated and automatically sent to the cloud. The system takes care of itself – without the need for manual readings or site visits. The built-in battery lasts up to 3 years, saving both time and resources. 4. Data in the cloud - always available All insamlad data lagras automatiskt i molnet och är alltid tillgänglig – oavsett om du använder dator, surfplatta eller mobil. Utför analyser direkt online, använd färdiga rapporter eller skapa dina egna utifrån behoven. Discreet design – built for nature The people counter is both small and discreet. The dimensions are 90x95x45mm and the weight is 220 grams. The color is matte gray-green to blend into most environments. The back is rounded in the middle to fit better on trees and poles. But on the sides there are flat surfaces to easily mount on flat surfaces. Technical specification Easy and flexible assembly The Visitoors unit is mounted quickly and easily with the included screws – directly into trees or on flat surfaces. For poles or other round objects, use the included tension strap for stable and secure mounting, without damaging the surface. Simple and easy installation Installing the Visitoor visitor counter is quick and easy – it only takes five minutes, without digging, cables or electricity. If the installation guide or instructional videos are not enough, you are always welcome to contact us directly. We are happy to help you, whether it concerns the product, the assembly or the analysis software. Placement and assembly for best results For optimal function, the device should be mounted discreetly and in a place where people pass by, but do not stop. Avoid placing it near information signs, bridges or rest areas – instead, choose a natural passageway some distance along a path or trail, where visitors move in a steady flow. The unit should be mounted approximately 1.2 meters above ground level for best detection. Although the range is up to 6 meters, a shorter distance between the sensor and the person provides a safer and more reliable measurement. Therefore, consider both height and distance to walkways when choosing a mounting location. Quick and easy installation via QR codes Each Visitoors device is equipped with two QR codes for easy registration and connection: QR Code 1: Scan with your mobile phone to automatically go to Visitoors.com and log in. QR Code 2: Once you are logged in and choose to add a new device, scan the second QR code to register the device's identity number (IMEI). If you allow location access, your phone's GPS can automatically fill in the longitude and latitude of your device. Done – the device is now connected and ready to collect data!
